From October 22 to 24, 2025, the II International Conference "Innovative Medicines: From Molecule to Patient" was held, organized by the First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov (Sechenov University).

The event brought together leading Russian and international scientists, pharmaceutical and biomedical experts, faculty, graduate students, and young researchers. The conference aimed to create an international interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of scientific information, innovative ideas, and best practices in drug development.
The South Kazakhstan Medical Academy was represented at the conference by:
• Mussabekov Zhankeldi Tuymebekuly, a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry, with a presentation titled "Bryonia alba against diabetes and cancer: results of molecular docking";

• Karabayeva Ainur Nysanbekovna, 3rd year doctoral student in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry, with a report “Characterization of the microstructural features of Mausolea eriocarpa (Asteraceae) ensuring its identification as a medicinal plant source.”

Both participants presented online (via Zoom) as part of the topic "Innovative Natural Medicines: Discovery, Development, and Environmental Aspects."
The conference featured oral presentations and talks highlighting the results of modern research in pharmacognosy and molecular modeling.
In addition, Zh. T. Musabekov presented a scientific poster on the pharmacognostic and in silico study of the plant Bryonia alba and its biologically active compounds.

The participation of SKMA representatives in such a large-scale international scientific forum contributes to the strengthening of academic ties, the exchange of scientific experience, and the advancement of domestic research in the international arena.
