80 Years of the Great Victory

Under the guidance of the Head of the General Medical Practice Department-2 at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor Gulzhan Nurbekovna Dosybaeva, along with instructors Maya Adilbekkyzy Taskynova and Aziya Kasymkyzy Zhien, the interns of group ZHTDQ-06-23 held a commemorative event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
On this historic day, the interns paid a special visit to veterans of the Great Patriotic War — Nadiya Abdrakhmanovna Khamitova (Latyeva), born in 1933, and Aleksey Artyomovich Babichev, born in 1930. They checked on their well-being, provided medical assistance, expressed heartfelt gratitude for their heroic contributions to the Victory, and wished them good health, longevity, peace, and prosperity with deep respect.
The interns listened attentively to the veterans’ memories of the harsh wartime years, the nation’s heroic efforts, and their bright hopes for the future. These moments became a true lesson in history and humanity.
As part of the event, the interns visited the Glory Memorial in Abay Park to honor the memory of fallen heroes. Flowers were laid at the Eternal Flame, and a minute of silence was held — a symbol of deep gratitude and respect for those who gave their lives for the Motherland.
This event held special significance, as Professor Gulzhan Nurbekovna Dosybaeva had recently visited the Republic of Belarus and personally saw the historical battle sites. That journey inspired this remembrance event and served as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving historical memory and passing it on to future generations.
