A festive event dedicated to Republic Day was held

Today, a solemn ceremony dedicated to Republic Day took place at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The event was attended by the sole founder of “SKMA” JSC, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Serikzhan Seitzhanov, who congratulated all staff and students on this significant occasion.

“Dear colleagues, esteemed teachers, and students! I sincerely congratulate you on one of the most important holidays of our country — Republic Day!
The Declaration of Sovereignty adopted in 1990 marked the first historic step toward the formation of our independent state. Today, under the leadership of our President, Kazakhstan has reached great heights and found its rightful place on the world stage. The contribution of the medical community to this progress is invaluable. Your efforts in developing the healthcare system and strengthening the nation’s health deserve the highest recognition.

Dear colleagues! On this festive day, I wish you strong health, new achievements, and continued success in your noble work for the benefit of our nation. May the future of our independent country be bright and prosperous!” said Serikzhan Seitzhanov. For her significant contribution to public health and impeccable service, Sagyndykova Bayan Akhmetkyzy was awarded the “Veteran of Labor” medal. In addition, several employees received Certificates of Honor and Letters of Gratitude from the Minister of Health and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Maria Ulasbekkyzy Anartaeva and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Strategic Development Nurlan Erdenuly Aukenov were awarded the academic title of Professor by the decision of the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Recently, during the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine held in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the academy’s students achieved outstanding results at the Friendship Competition between the medical universities of the two countries, bringing honor to their academy. For these achievements, the winning students were presented with Letters of Appreciation from Serikzhan Seitzhanov. The Rector of “SKMA” JSC, Zhanna Seitzhanova, also delivered a congratulatory speech:
“This day symbolizes the proud spirit of our nation, which has always strived for sovereignty and freedom. The Declaration of State Sovereignty adopted on October 25, 1990, became a historic milestone in the formation of Kazakhstan as an independent state. Today, our country has become a strong and respected nation, recognized worldwide for its peace and unity.
The South Kazakhstan Medical Academy also continues to contribute to this path of progress.

May our unity remain strong and our independence unwavering!” said Zhanna Seitzhanova. In honor of Librarian’s Day, the Head of the Academy Library, Raushan Darbicheva, was awarded the “Best Librarian” badge from the “Örleu” organization. Several other employees also received Letters of Appreciation during the ceremony. Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Zhanat Nurzhanbayeva, delivered an informative report.
