A New Format of Education at SKMA: AI, Interactive Technologies, and Clinical Thinking

On 06.05.2026 , a large-scale methodological round table was held at the "South Kazakhstan Medical Academy" JSC in Shymkent. The theme of the event was "Modern methods of conducting practical classes in the disciplines of Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery, Histology". The event was moderated by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Acting Professor, Head of the Department Murzanova Dinar Alpenovna. 
The primary goal of the event was to discuss modern teaching methods, share experiences, and identify ways to improve the quality of education. 
Key Speakers and Topics:
• 🔬 Histology Section : Azhaev S.A. highlighted the professional orientation of teaching histology in practice , while Zhumashov S.N. demonstrated the high efficiency of interactive board analysis of histological preparations. Each report was followed by an active discussion. 
• 🗺️ Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery Section : Ospanov D.T. proposed teaching approaches that link anatomy with visualization and technology, acting as an "anatomical map" during surgery. Anarmatov S.V. presented groundbreaking experience in the digitalization of knowledge assessment using Artificial Intelligence and the Quizizz platform.
