“Early Clinical Manifestations of Infectious Diseases”

Currently, promoting a healthy lifestyle among adolescents is one of the important social tasks. Especially during periods of increased risk of infectious disease spread, a key direction in public health is improving students’ sanitary and hygienic awareness, teaching them to recognize early signs of illnesses, and familiarizing them with prevention methods.
For this purpose, under the guidance of the Head of the Department of Family Medicine, Kauyzbay Zhumaly Aripbayuly, and the department assistant, Tazhieva Aigul Duisebekovna, 7th-year medical interns of groups ІЖДТҚ-13-24 and ІЖДТҚ-14-24 organized an educational lecture for the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students of Secondary General Education School No. 78 on the topic “Early Clinical Manifestations of Infectious Diseases and Their Prevention.”
During the lecture, students received explanations about the nature of infectious diseases, their transmission routes, and risk factors. The medical interns first explained that infectious diseases develop when viruses, bacteria, parasites, or fungi enter the human body.
Throughout the lecture, students actively asked questions and shared their own experiences. They showed particular interest in topics such as how to protect themselves during flu season and what to do when a skin rash appears. Additionally, a small group activity was conducted: each group received cards describing disease symptoms and prevention methods, which they had to match correctly.
The lecture successfully achieved its purpose, positively contributing to improving students’ knowledge and helping them develop healthy habits.
