
An event to familiarize medical interns of the department with laboratory work was organized by the faculty of the Department of Family Medicine.
In modern medicine, laboratory diagnostics plays a crucial role. Early detection of diseases, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment largely depend on laboratory test results. Therefore, familiarizing medical interns with laboratory work is an important part of their professional training.
For the purpose of gaining practical experience, medical interns visited the “Olymp” laboratory and became thoroughly acquainted with its operations. During the visit, the structure of the laboratory, its departments, and modern equipment were presented. Laboratory staff provided detailed information about the stages and methods of conducting various tests.
It was noted that the laboratory performs biochemical, hematological, immunological, and molecular studies. Interns were also introduced to the procedures for collecting, storing, and processing biological materials such as blood, urine, and other samples. They learned about modern technologies that ensure the accuracy and quality of laboratory analyses.

During the экскурсия, the operation of automated analyzers was demonstrated, and their advantages were explained. It was emphasized that such devices reduce human involvement and improve the accuracy of results. Special attention was paid to maintaining sanitary and hygiene standards as well as safety regulations in the laboratory.
Medical interns asked questions of interest to laboratory specialists and received valuable professional insights. This helped them strengthen their theoretical knowledge and broaden their practical understanding.
This activity increased the interns’ interest in laboratory diagnostics and contributed to the development of their professional competencies. It also helped them better understand the close connection between laboratory work and clinical medicine.
