An international seminar titled “Immunology of Liver Diseases: Diagnosis and Treatment” was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The seminar was organized within the framework of the academic mobility program, based on a bilateral agreement on academic and scientific cooperation between Belarusian State Medical University in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) and SKMA.
The seminar was organized by the “General Practitioner-2” Department and brought together both local and international qualified experts, researchers, and experienced doctors. During the seminar, modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases were extensively discussed.
At the official opening ceremony, the Rector of “SKMA” Janna Seitzhanova wished success to the speakers and emphasized the seminar’s scientific and practical significance for the national healthcare field. She also noted that such events play a vital role in enhancing professional skills and facilitating the exchange of experience.
Later, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gulzhan Dosybaeva, Head of the “General Practitioner-2” Department, expressed her best wishes for the success of the seminar. She highlighted the importance of continually improving treatment methods for liver diseases.
During the seminar, both foreign and domestic experts presented their scientific and practical reports. Notably, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yuriy Kharitonovich Marakhovsky from Belarusian State Medical University participated online and delivered a report titled “Immunology of Liver Diseases: Diagnosis and Treatment”, sharing valuable insights into modern treatment methods.
Other notable presentations included: Dr. Zhanar Maksutovna Rsalieva, Chief Freelance Hepatologist of Shymkent and Head of the Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Hematology, and Hepatology Department at City Hospital No. 2, who presented on “Morphological Study Results in Patients with Cryptogenic Cholestasis Syndrome. The Role of UDCA in Patient Management”; and Dr. Asem Kenesbekovna Kurmangalieva, Chief Freelance Gastroenterologist of Turkestan Region and gastroenterologist at “GastroMed” Medical Center in Shymkent, who presented on “The State of Gastroenterological Services in the Turkestan Region.”
Throughout the seminar, participants exchanged ideas and experiences. Such international events strengthen ties between medical education institutions and significantly contribute to the training of qualified specialists.
