International Scientific and Methodological Conference “Transformation of Medical Education: Global Trends and Training of Future Specialists”

An international scientific and methodological conference titled “Transformation of Medical Education: Global Trends and Training of Future Specialists” was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy.
The aim of the conference was to promote the effective use of artificial intelligence, digital tools, interactive teaching methods, and other innovations in the training of medical and pharmaceutical specialists. In addition, participants discussed ways to adapt graduates to the rapidly changing environment of healthcare and pharmaceutical practice, as well as to improve the quality of education.
At the opening ceremony, the Rector of JSC “SKMA,” Zhanna Serikzhanovna Seitjanova, delivered a welcoming speech and expressed gratitude to the invited guests and participants.
The large-scale event brought together leading national and international scientists and industry experts. Among them were: Rector of the Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nurlan Temirbekovich Zhainakbayev; Deputy Chair of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Bagdat Sakenovna Imasheva; Advisor to the Rector of the University of Health Sciences (Turkey), Director of the Eurasian Research Center for Health and Social Sciences, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology, Doctor of Neuropsychology, Professor Aynur Feyzioglu; Vice-Rector for Clinical Affairs of Tashkent State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Marif Shakirovich Karimov.

The conference was moderated by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of SKMA, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Maria Ulasbekovna Anartayeva. Within the framework of the conference, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between SKMA and the Chirchik branch of Tashkent State Medical University.

During the plenary session, presentations were delivered by: Vice-Rector for Digital Development of the Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University Alexander Vdovtsev; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University, Candidate of Medical Sciences Nurgul Abenova; Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at JSS College of Pharmacy, Professor Bannimath Gurupadayya; Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of SKMA Aizat Seidakhmetova; Head of Department at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Candidate of Sociological Sciences Zauresh Nagaibayeva; Head of the Department of Medical Biophysics and Information Technologies at SKMA Marina Ivanova; Head of the Department of Educational Programs for CIS Universities at Saint Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University Viktoria Kazakova; Associate Professor of the A.A. Shortanbayev Department of General Immunology at Asfendiyarov KazNMU, Candidate of Medical Sciences Beibitgul Baisultanqyzy; Assistant of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing at SKMA, PhD doctoral student Eldor Yunusmetov.
The conference continued with sectional sessions, where participants exchanged experience and discussed effective ways to implement innovative methods in the educational process.
