International Scientific and Practical Conference “Interdisciplinary Neurology”

Today, in Shymkent at the Rixos Khadisha Shymkent hotel, the international scientific and practical conference “Interdisciplinary Neurology” has commenced. The event is organized at the initiative of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy with the support of the Health Departments of Turkistan Region and the city of Shymkent.

At the opening ceremony, welcome speeches were delivered by the First Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Sultangaziyev, Rector of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy Zhanna Seitzhanova, Project Leader of the University Clinic of SKMA, Professor of the Department of Social Health Insurance and Public Health, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Master of Business Administration Yelzhan Birtanov, President of the International League Against Epilepsy, Director of the Z. P. Solovyov Scientific and Practical Psychoneurology Center of the Moscow City Health Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Medical Genetics at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation Alla Borisovna Gekht, and the Chief Freelance Neurologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University Saule Turysbekova.

During the conference, leading specialists, neurologists, neurogeneticists, rehabilitation specialists, and neurophysiologists from Kazakhstan, Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Uzbekistan will discuss modern approaches to providing medical care to patients with neurological disorders and exchange professional experience.
