Researchers from the Pharmacy Research Center of SKMA took an active part in a number of international and national scientific events, presenting the results of their research in the field of pharmacognostic and commodity analysis of medicinal plant raw materials, as well as the development of innovative dosage forms.
The first online presentations took place at the XXVI International Congress “FITOPHARM-2025”, which was held on October 8-10, 2025 at the St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University (St. Petersburg, Russia).
• G. S. Rakhmanova presented a report entitled “Phytochemical analysis of dry extract of Turkestan rhubarb roots”;
• A. T. Kuandyk spoke on the topic “Determination of commodity indicators (moisture and ash content) of Nepeta densiflora herb.”

Next, the researchers presented their scientific work at the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference «Modern Рharmaceutics: Actial Рroblems and Prospects» which was held on October 17, 2025, at the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan).
• Kundang A. T. presented a report entitled “Determination of commodity indicators (fineness and impurities) of Nepeta densiflora herb”;
• Rakhmanova G. S. presented a study entitled “Pharmacognostic study of a dental collection of medicinal plants.”

On October 16, 2025, research fellows of the center, S. A. Mamyrova and A. D. Rybakova, took part in the III International Forum of Young Scientists and Students at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (Shymkent, Republic of Kazakhstan), where a start-up project competition was held. The participants presented an innovative product—sublingual tablets made from licorice, salvia, and mint.

S. A. Mamurova and A. D. Rybakova also spoke at the Second International Conference “Innovative Drugs: From Molecule to the Patient,” held at the A. P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy, Sechenov University (Moscow, Russia).
• S. A. Mamyrova presented an oral report entitled “Rhaponticum altaicum as a promising medicinal species”;
• A. D. Rybakova presented a poster report in English entitled “Development of sublingual films from Glyzzhyriza uralensis, Salvia deserta, Mentha asiatica”.


In addition, fifth-year students enrolled in the Pharmacy program, who conducted research at the Pharmacy Research Center, presented a poster presentation on “Phytochemical analysis of Herba Achillea biebersteinii.”

On October 24, 2025, Rybakova A. D. and Kuandyk A. T. participated in the online format of the the 1st Republican Scientific and Practical Conference «Modern Pharmacy: Research, Practice, and Results» organized by the Pharmaceutical Institute of Education and Research (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan).
• Rybakova A. D. presented a report entitled “Commodity analysis of medicinal plants used in dentistry”;
• Kuandyk A. T. spoke on the topic “Determining the content of extractive substances in the herb of thick-flowered catnip growing in the Turkestan region.”

All participants represented the Pharmacy Research Center with dignity, demonstrating a high level of professional training and mastery of the material, successfully answering questions from experts and listeners.
The active participation of researchers and students in conferences at various levels confirms the high scientific potential and research focus of the Pharmacy Research Center. The presentations reflect current trends in modern pharmaceutical science, promote the exchange of experience, the development of international cooperation, and enhance the image of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy in the scientific arena.
The results of the work done will form the basis for further research and the introduction of innovative developments into domestic pharmaceutical practice.
