International Student Olympiad in the “Pharmacy” Educational Program Has Begun


Today, at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, the conference titled “Commitment to the Pharmacy Profession,” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Academician of the Asian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the International Academy of Sciences (Azerbaijan section), Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Bayan Akhmetkyzy Sagyndykova, as well as the international student olympiad in the “Pharmacy” educational program, officially began.
During this event, students from leading universities of Kazakhstan and abroad will demonstrate their knowledge and professional skills. The main goal of the olympiad is to improve the quality of education, develop the scientific potential of talented youth, and strengthen friendly and collaborative relationships among students of partner universities. In addition, one of the key objectives of the event is to deepen the professional knowledge of future pharmacists and enhance their practical skills. 

At the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Maria Ulasbekkyzy Anartaeva congratulated Professor Bayan Akhmetkyzy Sagyndykova on her anniversary, emphasizing her invaluable contribution to the development of pharmaceutical science and her role in mentoring and guiding young specialists into the world of science. She also expressed confidence that this event will help improve the quality of education in the field of pharmacy and strengthen international cooperation. In her speech, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Bayan Akhmetkyzy Sagyndykova urged young people to approach the pharmacy profession with responsibility It should be noted that participants of the olympiad will compete in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, drug technology, pharmacy management, and pharmacology. As these disciplines form the foundation of the pharmacy profession, students will be given complex and engaging scientific tasks, and their theoretical knowledge and practical skills will be thoroughly evaluated. The olympiad will last for two days. The event is jointly organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy and the “Damu” Association for the Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
