May 12 is the International Day of the Nurse

On May 20, 2025, the Department of Nursing-2 of the Medical College at JSC SKMA held a solemn event dedicated to the International Day of Nurses on May 12.

The event was attended by the chief and senior nurses of the medical organizations «City Clinical Hospital №1», «City Hospital №2», «Regional Clinical Hospital», «City Cancer Center», «City Perinatal Center», «City Polyclinic №11», «City Polyclinic №3» Shymkent.

The event was attended by the Vice-rector of JSC SKMA for educational work and social affairs, Salim Erbol Kaltursinuly, who congratulated the gathered guests and students on their professional holiday, expressed great respect and gratitude. The guests were also presented with letters of thanks for their selfless work and for helping patients.

Subsequently, Nurlan Dzhumanovich Kalmenov, Head of the Practical Skills Center at JSC SKMA, made a welcoming speech. He thanked the teachers of the departments of Nursing – 1 and Nursing-2 for their professionalism and conscientious work.

At the event, the head of the Department of Nursing-1, M.M. Serikova Bagdat Dzholdybaevna, made a video presentation on the topic: Development of the system of training nursing specialists, which implements the roadmap at the medical college for the implementation of the project triad of education, science and practice in nursing, in the system of nursing education and In her content, she noted the progress of the training of nursing specialists in a new form, the implementation of an educational program with a qualified workforce of nurses.

The festive event was accompanied by a beautiful video on the theme «My profession is my pride» and a flash mob on the theme «Nurse», also performed by a graduate of the Kazakh National Conservatory. Kurmangazy, laureate of several international competitions, master's degree, teacher of SKZU M. Auezova Tursynbayeva Moldir Myrzageldievna with the Kazakh national instrument kobyz performed by «poppuri to Kazakh songs», the dance ensemble «Shattyk», at the end, the Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sandugash Daurenbaevna Yelgonova performed and brought the highlight of the holiday.
