The Department of Kazakh, Russian, and Latin Languages of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy organized a seminar titled “National Attire – The Treasure of the Nation” aimed at promoting traditional clothing. During the event, Acting Associate Professor, PhD in Philology G.K. Temirbekova delivered an insightful presentation on “National Attire – the Image of the Nation.” Senior lecturers A.S. Zhakipova (“Traditional Clothing of the Kazakh People”) and A.T. Abdullabekova (“The Most Beautiful Clothing Is the Clothing of Your Nation”) emphasized that traditional attire is a valuable heritage of material culture, preserved through centuries and passed down to us as a legacy of ancient times. Kazakh national clothing reflects the history of the nation, its centuries-old aesthetic sense, and its aspiration toward beauty, harmony, and elegance. It undoubtedly instills a sense of national pride in every Kazakh.

Our aim is not only to present traditional clothing as a fashion element but also to honor it, take pride in it, and pass it on to future generations. National attire is the soul, spirit, and cultural identity of the nation.
