National Currency Day — Tenge

As part of the plan dedicated to the National Currency Day on November 15, on November 14 at JSC "SKMA", at the Medical College, the Head of the Department of General Education Disciplines, Amangeldi Toibolyuly Sataev, conducted an open educational hour on the topic “The Incomparable Currency of a Great Country.”
The students learned about the history of the emergence of our national currency, the tenge, the features of its production, as well as the meaning of the images depicted on banknotes and coins. In addition, a video was shown about the technology of banknote production at the printing factory and coin minting at the Mint, as well as about the history of the development of the tenge. Students were also shown currencies from other countries.
During the event, the participants were told about the history of the appearance of money, the introduction of our national currency into circulation, and how and by whom it was created. It was emphasized that the currency of any state directly reflects its history, and the important role that monetary units play in the development of the country was highlighted.
