
From May 18 to 23, 2026, Nazarbayev University hosted the professional development program “Modern Career Counseling and Career Center Management,” organized by the Career and Advising Center of Nazarbayev University. The program focused on modern approaches to career counseling, labor market analytics, employer engagement, graduate employment monitoring, as well as the implementation of digital technologies and AI tools in career center activities. nThe program featured leading international and Kazakhstani experts in career counseling and career center management, including representatives of Nazarbayev University, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, QSamruk, as well as specialists from international educational organizations and HR companies from Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Russia, and Bulgaria. Within the framework of the program, participants studied international best practices in organizing career services, modern approaches to supporting students and graduates, mechanisms for employer engagement, labor market analysis methods (Labour Market Intelligence), and strategies for developing students’ career readiness. The training was conducted in an interactive format and included lectures, seminars, group discussions, case studies, practical assignments, and work on the Moodle educational platform.

As a result of the course, a project aimed at improving the career support system for students and graduates, implementing analytical tools for employment monitoring, strengthening employer engagement, and developing digital career center services was developed. The final project was successfully defended before an expert panel and received positive feedback from the program organizers. Upon completion of the program, all participants received certificates confirming completion of the professional development course totaling 80 academic hours.
