«Pediatric Olympiad – 2026»

On April 25, the Pediatric Olympiad was held, organized by the initiative team “Kid Guardians” and the organization “Dariger academy”. The organizers — students who represented our university at international Olympiads in Saint Petersburg and Ufa (Scientific Supervisor: Head of the Department of Pediatrics-1, Kemelbekov K.S.) — decided to adopt international experience and implement it within the walls of SKMA.
In the intellectual competition, 5 teams (5 participants in each) competed, bringing together the most talented students from the 3rd to 5th years.
Stages of the Olympiad: a test of strength
The program was максимально close to the formats of international competitions and consisted of 4 most challenging stages:
1. Testing: 50 questions covering fundamental and specialized disciplines: biochemistry, propaedeutics of childhood diseases, infectious diseases, and pediatrics.
2. Practical skills and Medical visualization: Participants demonstrated their skills in patient communication, emergency care, and physical examination. The visualization block included interpretation of X-ray images and CT scans.
3. Situational tasks: Analysis of 2 clinical cases, where it was required not only to make the correct diagnosis but also to justify the treatment tactics.
4. “Own Game”: The final intellectual stage in an interactive format, which became the most emotional moment of the day.

Expert Jury
The assessment of knowledge was carried out by recognized professionals and mentors:
*Nurzhanov Serikzhan Botabekovich — doctor of the highest category, pediatric surgeon, urologist.
*Adilbekova Ainur Turdalievna — assistant of the Department of “Pediatrics-1”.
*Baimakova Gulnur Shulenovna — assistant of the Department of “Pediatrics-1”.

Also participated in the organization of the event:
*Anuarbek Bakdaulet (group IPQ-04-24) — representative of the organization “Dariger academy”.

The competition was intense, and the places were distributed as follows:
