Protection against financial fraud

Senior lecturer of the department "History of Kazakhstan and socio-public Disciplines" A. A. Bekkulova organized a round table with students of the 2nd year of the Faculty of Medicine on the topic "Protection from financial fraud" in order to increase financial literacy of young people and their insurance against financial pyramids and other fraudulent activities.

Purpose: to teach young people financial literacy, insurance against financial pyramids and other types of fraud, and basic principles of personal finance management.
The round table was attended by law enforcement experts, financiers, as well as students and teachers. During the event, experts analyzed the most common types of financial fraud (Internet fraud, fraudulent investments, telephone fraud, fake messages on social networks) and explained their consequences using specific examples.
The participants asked their questions about fraud protection and received practical advice from experts. In addition, ways to ensure the security of personal data and to reject questionable financial offers were widely discussed.
At the end of the event, special information leaflets were distributed to the participants and useful materials related to financial security were presented.
