On May 28, a scientific seminar titled «Current issues in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Parkinson’s disease» was held in the conference hall of Aidana Plaza Hotel in Shymkent.
The event brought together leading neurologists, medical university faculty, practicing physicians, and young scientists.
Renowned experts presented their reports:
• Nazira Asanovna Zharkynbekova – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and neurosurgery at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA), and Chairperson of the South Kazakhstan Neurologists’ Association.
• Saltanat Orynbasarovna Abdraimova – PhD, practicing neurologist, and assistant of Neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and neurosurgery at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA).
• Altynai Sagidulaevna Karimova – Candidate of Medical Sciences, neurologist of the highest category, rehabilitation specialist, and senior lecturer at the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neurosciences at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The seminar covered modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s disease, discussed relevant clinical cases, and presented the latest findings in rehabilitation and supportive therapy.
Particular attention was given to the multidisciplinary approach and the importance of early detection of the disease.
Participants actively engaged in the discussions, asked questions to the speakers, and shared their own experiences. This active involvement reflected the high relevance of the topics discussed and the medical community's need for such platforms for professional exchange.
The seminar served as an important venue for professional communication and experience sharing.
