
On June 4, 2026, an online meeting was held at SKMA JSC with the participation of representatives of medical organizations from the Turkestan region and the city of Shymkent. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the Roadmap for innovative educational programs and mechanisms for cooperation with regional healthcare organizations.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Clinical Affairs of SKMA JSC, Professor B.K. Nurmashev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor M.U. Anartaeva, Head of the Turkestan Regional Health Department A.M. Baiduwaliyev, Head of the Educational and Methodological Center B.Z. Doltaeva, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy K.Ye. Arystanbayev, Head of the Department of Medical Biophysics and Information Technologies M.B. Ivanova, Head of the Center for Competence and Continuing Professional Education K.Zh. Kenessova, Head of the Doctoral and Master’s Department U.A. Khodzhakulova, Head of the Department of Clinical Affairs and Evidence-Based Medicine E.M. Pernebekov, Head of the Career Center E.Sh. Yunusmetov, as well as representatives of medical organizations from Shymkent city and Turkestan region.

During the meeting, participants discussed the implementation of innovative educational programs, digital healthcare, medical data analytics, digital engineering in pharmacy and medicine, engineering support of medical equipment, as well as the development of micro-qualification courses and an online educational platform.
In addition, participants emphasized the growing demand for specialists capable of working with medical information systems, conducting medical analytics, and providing engineering support for medical equipment in the context of the digital transformation of healthcare.
During the discussion, participants proposed strengthening practice-oriented training, expanding clinical practice bases, integrating employers’ recommendations into educational programs, establishing continuous cooperation with healthcare organizations, and training specialists according to regional workforce needs.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint efforts to improve innovative educational programs, train highly qualified specialists for the regional healthcare system, and implement the Roadmap further.
