South Kazakhstan Medical Academy hosted a festive event dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan

Today, at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, the Department of Kazakh, Russian, and Latin Languages organized a festive event titled “Language is the Treasure of the People” in honor of the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs, Salim Yerbol Kaltursynuly, who noted that Kazakhstan is a multinational state. He emphasized that people of different nationalities live and work peacefully in the country, using various languages, while the state language is Kazakh. He also highlighted that all necessary conditions have been created for the development of each ethnic group’s native language, culture, and traditions. This celebration promotes friendship and unity among peoples and aims to enhance the status of the state language. During the event, Latofat Sunakbayeva, a student of group VM-MA-14-05, performed the song “Zhelsiz tünde zharyq ai” by the great Kazakh poet Abai. Students Aruzhan Miyat (group V-FÖTQA-02-24) and Symbat Amantai (group V-FQB-01-25) beautifully performed the kuy “Erke Sylqym”, while Aliaskar Sheriyev (group VM-SOA-08-25) skillfully played the kuy “Kongil Tolkyny”. In addition, student Assel Shamsiddinova (group V-FÖTO-BBB-01-25) sang the song “Aliya”, receiving warm applause from the audience. The concert also featured an Indian dance performed by female students from groups VM-MSHA-01-25 and VM-MSHA-03-24. Students recited poems by Kazakh poets and writers about language, which were met with great appreciation from the audience. At the end, Gulnar Asankyzy Yesepbayeva, a specialist from the Shymkent City Center for Language Training and Methodology, awarded active participants with letters of gratitude. The festive event concluded with the song “Tauelsiz Qazaqtyn Qyzymyn” performed by Latofat Sunakbayeva.
