On April 8, 2026, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy hosted a prominent scientific and practical event: an intra-departmental conference for international students titled "Current Trends in Gynecology."
During the conference, students showcased not only their theoretical knowledge but also their professional competencies through the application of modern interactive methods. Specifically, participants engaged in clinical case analysis using flip charts and successfully delivered their reports in a Poster Presentation format. This method highlighted the high proficiency of future specialists in systematizing complex medical information, visual storytelling, and professional communication.

The event was conducted under the expert guidance of the Head of the Department, PhD, Professor Saltanat Kulbaeyeva, and Department Assistant, highly qualified specialist Raushan Dzhunusova. In their poster presentations, students effectively integrated key issues in obstetrics and gynecology with the principles of evidence-based medicine.
In conclusion, such events play a vital role in enhancing the academic engagement of international students. The conference achieved the following key outcomes:
* Scientific Potential: Development of skills for independent analysis of clinical data;
* Practical Skills: Building competencies for participation in international scientific forums through poster defense;
* International Collaboration: Strengthening professional ties among students of the international department.
Recognizing the high scientific standard of the event, the department faculty plans to continue holding these practice-oriented sessions on a regular basis.
