Teachers Took Part in the Dictation

Today, at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, within the framework of the nationwide project “National Dictation,” the faculty members of the Medicine and Pharmacy departments, as well as the college staff and master’s students, tested their literacy in the state language.
The dictation text was an excerpt from Akhmet Baitursynuly’s article “Oqu Jaiy,” published in 1913 in the newspaper “Qazaq.” The academy’s faculty actively supported the initiative aimed at enhancing the status of the state language and strengthening national identity. The National Dictation was read by Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakh, Russian, and Latin Languages, G.K. Temirbekova.
It should be noted that the “National Dictation” is a cultural and educational project aimed at developing the state language, improving citizens’ writing literacy, and reinforcing national cultural and linguistic identity. Its main goal is to promote competent writing skills in the state language and increase its usage and recognition in society.
This initiative demonstrates that literacy is not only an indicator of education, but also a reflection of civic responsibility and respect for the language.
