The SENAT OPEN quarterfinal championship was held among students and staff

On May 20, 2026, the quarterfinals of the South Kazakhstan Open Rapid Chess Championship among medical students, healthcare workers, and pharmaceutical companies took place in Shymkent. Athletes from the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy also participated in the competition, and Abboskhon Muminzhanov, a student in the VM-SOB-05-23 group, took third place and advanced to the Republican semifinals, which will be held in Taraz.
