The Department of Digital Educational Support and Pedagogical Competencies (hereinafter – DDESaPC) is a structural unit of the Center for Competencies and Continuing Professional Education of JSC “South Kazakhstan Medical Academy”.
The purpose of the DDESaPC is to integrate digital technologies into the educational process of JSC “SKMA” and to enhance the pedagogical competencies of the teaching staff, aimed at improving the quality of educational activities and implementing modern educational technologies.
The main objectives of the activity:
- Implementation and support of modern digital technologies in the educational process;
- Ensuring the relevance and regular updating of video content (video lectures, practical classes, and other educational materials) for all educational programs on the media platform https://media.skma.edu.kz/ ;
- Coordination of departmental activities related to the development, implementation, and use of online courses and video courses in the educational process;
- Organization of methodological and consultative support for departments on issues related to the development of digital educational resources;
- Development and implementation of programs aimed at enhancing the pedagogical competencies of academic staff in accordance with current requirements of the educational system;
- Organization of courses, trainings, seminars, and workshops focused on the development of pedagogical, methodological, and digital skills of instructors;
- Improvement of the level of digital literacy of the teaching staff;
- Development and implementation of a professional development plan for academic staff in pedagogical competencies;
- Provision of recommendations on the use of open educational online resources to enhance the professional and pedagogical competencies of instructors.
Technical Requirements
Participation in educational activities involving digital technologies requires:
- Availability of a personal computer or laptop, or regular access to a digital device;
- Access to the Internet;
- Basic skills in using email and office software for creating and editing electronic documents.
