25 Years Since the Establishment of the Military Department!

A festive event was organized to mark the 25th anniversary of the Military Department of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The ceremony was opened by the Rector, Zhanna Seitjanova, who congratulated the audience on the anniversary.

In her speech, she emphasized the special role of the Military Department within the academy’s structure and highlighted its importance in fostering military-patriotic values among young people. She also awarded commemorative badges to several staff members who made significant contributions to the department’s development, faithfully fulfilled their duties, and actively promoted patriotism among the younger generation. During the event, the Head of the Military Department, Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Asan Qasymbekov, delivered a report noting that over the past quarter century the department has provided high-quality military training to thousands of young specialists, instilling in them patriotism, civic responsibility, and love for their homeland. Today, the department’s graduates successfully work in various regions of the country. Achievements such as strengthening the training facilities and improving the quality of military education were also highlighted.

On behalf of the veterans, the Chairman of the Shymkent branch of the Veterans of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, retired Colonel Serikbay Onbayev, expressed gratitude to the department’s staff. Congratulations were also delivered by one of the academy’s first graduates, the Head of the Military Hospital in Taraz under the Regional Command “South” of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Service Rafik Guseinov. He noted that the military training he received at the academy greatly influenced his professional development and thanked his teachers.

We wish the Military Department, which has reached its 25-year milestone, continued success in honorably training young specialists who will serve as defenders of the nation.
