A Clean-Up Campaign Took Place in Shymkent as Part of the “Taza Kazakhstan” Initiative

On May 31, a large-scale clean-up campaign was organized in the city of Shymkent. This event was held as part of the nationwide environmental initiative “Taza Kazakhstan.” Residents of the city, government institutions, universities, and representatives of various organizations actively participated. The staff and students of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy also made a significant contribution.
The main goal of the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign is to foster a culture of environmental cleanliness, raise ecological awareness among the population, and demonstrate love for one’s homeland through concrete actions. With this aim, clean-up events were organized across all districts of the city, involving thousands of people who helped remove litter from streets and courtyards.
South Kazakhstan Medical Academy took part in the campaign with great enthusiasm. The academy’s staff and students cleaned the areas assigned to them, setting an example of care and responsibility towards the environment. The youth, equipped with gloves and trash bags, cleared pedestrian paths, public spaces, and green areas.
The clean-up efforts within the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign are an important initiative encouraging every citizen to protect nature. The people of Shymkent, including the SKMA team and students, once again showed active involvement and proved that taking care of the environment is a shared responsibility. We believe that such actions will continue in the future and will pave the way for the development of environmental culture.
