
A curatorial session on the topic of “Academic Integrity” was held at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The session aimed to foster the principles of academic integrity among students and increase their sense of responsibility in the educational process.
The Head of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor E. K. Bekmurzayeva, explained the meaning and fundamental principles of academic integrity to the students. Particular attention was paid to the independent completion of academic and research assignments, fair assessment of knowledge, prevention of plagiarism, proper citation of sources, and compliance with established requirements during examinations and assessments.

In addition, students were informed about the requirements of the Academic Integrity Code, the institution’s internal regulations, and the consequences of violating academic integrity standards. The importance of honesty, responsibility, fairness, and professional ethics for future medical professionals was emphasized.
At the conclusion of the session, it was highlighted that adherence to the principles of academic integrity by every student is an essential condition for obtaining a quality education, developing professional competencies, and fostering a strong sense of responsibility as a future medical professional.
The curatorial session was conducted for student groups from near and far abroad.
