The Department of Kazakh, Russian, and Latin Languages at SKMA organized a festive event titled “Mind, Heart, Will – the Formula of Being”, in honor of the Day of Languages of the Peoples of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by the Head of the Youth Policy Department, Berik Rakhmanaliuly Tastanov, who delivered his congratulations.
The Kazakh language is our spiritual wealth, the soul of the nation. Over 100 ethnic groups live in Kazakhstan, and the main tool that unites them all is language.
According to the “Law on Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan” adopted in 1997, the Kazakh language was granted the status of the state language. September 5 is celebrated as the Day of Languages of the Peoples of Kazakhstan.
The main goal of this holiday is to promote, respect, and develop the state language — Kazakh — as well as the languages of other ethnic groups living in the country.
The event began with the national anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It also featured the traditional Kazakh kui "Balbyrauyn", expressive recitations of poems about language, an Indian dance, a piano performance, a display of respect for the Kazakh language by representatives of other ethnic groups, the song "Makhabbatym" played on the ukulele, and a folk dance performance.
Certificates were awarded to active participants on behalf of the academy.
