A Future Illuminated by Knowledge

On September 24, 2026, lecturer A.B. Turmatova of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences organized an educational event entitled “A Future Illuminated by Knowledge” for first-year students of the Dentistry educational programme.
The main objective of the event was to increase students’ interest in knowledge, develop an understanding of the importance of quality education in personal growth and professional development, and encourage students to pursue continuous learning, self-improvement, and a responsible approach to their future.
During the event, the participants discussed the role of education and science in human life, the importance of improving professional knowledge and skills, goal setting, self-development, and the formation of professional competencies as future specialists. Students expressed their opinions on the topic, discussed the importance of knowledge in achieving professional success, and exchanged views on personal and professional development.
As a result of the event, students’ motivation to acquire knowledge was strengthened, along with their understanding of the importance of independent learning, continuous education, and professional development. The students emphasized that knowledge is one of the key values of their future professional activity and highlighted the importance of responsibility, determination, and diligence. The event also contributed to the development of communication skills, the ability to express opinions freely, and analytical thinking.
In conclusion, the “A Future Illuminated by Knowledge” event contributed to fostering a positive attitude towards education and providing students with guidance for their personal and professional development. The participants learned that becoming a competitive modern specialist requires not only quality education, but also continuous learning, self-development, and professional responsibility. The issues discussed during the event encouraged students to set clear goals for the future and make effective use of their abilities and opportunities.
