«A Home with Elders is a Home with Treasure»

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, and Traumatology organized an event entitled “A Home with Elders is a Home with Treasure.” One of the noble traditions of the Kazakh people, passed down from generation to generation, is respect for the elderly. When we think of older people, we often picture wise grandfathers and grandmothers who embody experience and kindness. However, it is unfortunate that not all families are able to provide their elderly relatives with the care, attention, and support they deserve. At the initiative of the Head of the Department, Acting Associate Professor Galiya Yerkinbekovna Kaldygozova, first-year residents in Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, and Traumatology visited a nursing home to support elderly people in need. They brought essential supplies and provided assistance to the residents. During the event, warm meetings were held with the nursing home residents, gifts were presented, and heartfelt wishes were expressed. The elderly residents sincerely thanked the participants for their care, kindness, and attention.
