
An informational meeting entitled “Mental Health — The Foundation of Quality of Life” was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The event aimed to promote the psychological well-being of young people, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and prevent various risks.
The meeting was attended by Ulbala Umiraliyeva, an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Kameya Clinic; Simbat Akhmet, an inspector of the Department for Combating Domestic Violence of the Abay District Police Department under the Shymkent City Police Department, Police Lieutenant; Bakhytzhan Bekbayev, an operational officer of the Cybercrime Counteraction Department of the Shymkent City Police Department, Police Captain; and Saltanat Assanova, an experienced psychologist and Gestalt therapist.
The meeting was moderated by Aksymbat Rashidkyzy Alimkul, a specialist of the Psychological Assistance Department of the Youth Resource Center.

During the meeting, the specialists shared their professional experience and spoke about the importance of maintaining young people’s mental health, emotional stability, stress prevention, and the importance of seeking professional help in difficult life situations.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the prevention of domestic violence, cybersecurity, and protection against various threats in the online environment.
