A Meeting Titled “Life Is the Greatest Value” Was Held

Today, a meeting titled “Life Is the Greatest Value” was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy with the participation of law enforcement officers and psychologists. The purpose of the event was to prevent suicide, bullying, ludomania (gambling addiction), domestic violence, internet and cyber fraud among young people, as well as to provide information on psychological risks and develop skills for seeking help in difficult life situations. During the meeting, the prosecutor of the Al-Farabi District Prosecutor’s Office of Shymkent, Askar Turdymuratuly Alimbekov, delivered a presentation on the types of cyberbullying, legal liability for such offenses, and ways to protect against them. Senior operative officer of the Cybercrime Prevention Department of the Shymkent City Police Department, Police Major Maksat Kalybayuly Shegirbay, spoke about types of fraud committed via the internet and mobile phones, as well as methods for their prevention. Senior Inspector of the Department for Combating Domestic Violence of the Public Safety Directorate of the Shymkent City Police Department, Police Major Gulvira Tolepbergenkyzy Bektemissova, provided information on the consequences of domestic violence, assistance available to victims, and legal mechanisms for protection. After that, PhD, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, experienced psychologist and Gestalt therapist Saltanat Sailaukyzy Asanova addressed issues related to the prevention of psychological distress, maintaining emotional stability, and the importance of seeking help in difficult situations. At the end of the meeting, participants asked specialists questions concerning issues of interest and received clear and specific answers.
