On October 29, 2025, a meeting titled “Common Interests: How to Find Common Topics with Neighbors” was organized by the Psychological Service for dormitory students. The main goal of the event was to support students in adapting to a new environment, to promote the culture of collective living, and to teach effective ways of establishing mutual understanding with neighbors.
During the meeting, participants took part in group games and psychological training sessions, which helped them communicate openly and build connections through shared interests. Specialists from the Psychological Service provided advice on the psychological aspects of adaptation and emphasized the importance of trust and respect in interpersonal relationships. At the end of the event, students shared their impressions and noted that mutual respect and understanding play a crucial role in creating a positive atmosphere in the dormitory. Many participants expressed their wish for such psychologically oriented meetings to be held more often. After the meeting, the Psychological Service conducted a survey to assess the level of students’ adaptation to the new environment, dormitory conditions, and collective life. The results of the survey helped determine the degree of students’ adaptation and provided an opportunity to improve future psychological support activities.
