A preventive event was held for school students

On February 20, 2026, as part of the scientific project “Healthy University, Healthy City, Healthy Region”, sixth-year interns from groups I-ZHTDO-19-25 and I-ZHTDO-23-25 of the Department of General Practice – 2 prepared and conducted a preventive and educational event at General Secondary School No. 30 named after O. Zhandosov for students of grades 8B, 8V, 9V, 9G, and 9D.
Organizers and Scientific Supervisors: Assistant Baimuratova B.N. and Master of Medical Sciences Smetova R.A.


Purpose of the Event – To raise students’ awareness of the principles of a healthy lifestyle, to foster a responsible attitude toward their physical and mental health, and to motivate conscious choices that contribute to maintaining and improving their well-being.


Before the interns’ presentations, the school principal, Sihanbekova Zh.A., delivered a welcoming address. Additionally, Master of Medical Sciences Smetova R.A. and Assistant Baimuratova B.N. gave introductory speeches, highlighting the relevance of the topics and the importance of conducting such events among young people to help adolescents develop lasting knowledge about a healthy lifestyle and the prevention of harmful habits.


As part of this event, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, the participating intern speakers conveyed important information to the students in the most accessible way. Lecture 1: “Smoking and Its Consequences” – interns I-ZHTDO-23-25 Abdumutal S.R. and Zharlikapova A.B. Lecture 2: “The Impact of Internet Activity on the Lifestyle of Children and Adolescents” – interns I-ZHTDO-19-25 Alibekova Zh.R. and Tabakova K.D.
In addition, to increase the students’ engagement and reinforce the information presented, intern I-ZHTDO-19-25 Baymkhan A.K. conducted an interactive game.


The event generated great interest among the students of General Secondary School No. 30. The students actively participated in the intellectual game, asked questions, and responded attentively to the survey questions.
The event was held in an interactive format, and the students showed genuine interest. Such meetings have important preventive value and help students develop a conscious attitude toward their health, as well as cultivate healthy habits in their daily lives.
