On November 28, 2025, the Department of General Practice-2, together with the group IJTDQ 17-25 and under the supervision of PhD Sartaеva Kalamkas Almeshovna conducted a scheduled scientific session in accordance with the 2025–2026 academic year Internship Scientific Research Plan. The session focused on cardiovascular pathologies associated with thyroid diseases, including the clinical features, pathogenesis, diagnostics, and treatment approaches of thyroid-related cardiomyopathies. The relevance of the topic is attributed to the increasing prevalence of endocrine disorders in the Southern region, particularly thyroid pathologies, which contribute to the rising incidence of cardiovascular complications. During the session, students thoroughly examined the mechanisms of development of thyrotoxic and hypothyroid cardiomyopathies, characteristic ECG and echocardiographic findings, clinical manifestations, and modern treatment strategies. Participants also worked with presentation materials and enhanced their clinical reasoning and scientific analytical skills. This event was aimed at strengthening the interns’ integrative knowledge in endocrinology and cardiology, as well as developing their research competencies.
