
On September 18–19, 2025, a seminar was conducted on the topic “Scientific Research: Data Analysis, Articles, and Grant Applications.” The event was attended by doctoral students, master’s students, and faculty members. The main objective of the seminar was to enhance the research competencies of students and academic staff in designing and implementing research projects, as well as in preparing competitive documentation for participation in grant programs.
The program covered topics such as sampling methods, hypothesis testing and interpretation of P-values, application of the χ² test in cross-sectional studies, rules for structuring and classifying scientific articles by study type, and the specifics of grant funding, including competition procedures, stages of expert review, and application preparation. Particular attention was also given to budget calculation and reporting, requirements for expected project outcomes, and practical recommendations for achieving them.
Presentations and practical guidance were delivered by Dana Sapargalikyzy Bekaryssova, PhD, Head of the Department for Coordination and Development of Scientific Journals; Dilyafruz Ganikyzy Bolatova, PhD Candidate, Head of the Office of Commercialization and Project Management; and Maidan Nagashybaevich Mukhamediarov, PhD Candidate, Science Manager at DRMaDS.
The seminar included discussions on current challenges in research activities and a Q&A session. Participants highlighted the practical value of the material presented, noting its relevance for future research and publication activities. At the conclusion of the seminar, all participants were awarded certificates.
