A seminar was conducted on the topic of neonatal jaundice

The seminar was held on April 1, 2026, at the “South Kazakhstan Multidisciplinary College” in accordance with the schedule of educational work, organized by the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 under the guidance of assistants G.Sh. Baymakova and A.T. Adilbekova, with the participation of intern doctors from group IPQ 04-24.

During the seminar, the learners were provided with comprehensive and detailed information on the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment methods of neonatal jaundice. Both physiological and pathological forms of jaundice, their characteristics, and the risk of complications were extensively discussed.
The learners analyzed the mechanisms of jaundice development and became familiar with modern diagnostic methods. In addition, the features of bilirubin metabolism and the risk factors in newborns were examined.
In the practical part of the seminar, the learners improved their skills in differential diagnosis by analyzing clinical cases. This helped consolidate their theoretical knowledge and develop clinical thinking.
The seminar contributed to enhancing the learners’ professional competence and deepening their knowledge in the field of pediatrics.
