A training seminar on writing articles for Wikipedia was held

A training seminar titled “Algorithms for Publishing Articles on Wikipedia” was held at the A. Pushkin City Universal Library in Shymkent. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The seminar was conducted within the framework of the Concept for the Development of Language Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023–2029 and was aimed at developing Kazakh-language content on Wikipedia. Young scientists and faculty members of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy took part in the event.
The seminar was led by Kairzhan Rakhymzhanov, Head of Department at the Language Policy Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Akmaral Dautkulova, Senior Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher at H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. They provided comprehensive explanations on the key requirements and algorithms for publishing scientific articles on Wikipedia, methods of working with sources, principles of ensuring accuracy and neutrality of information, and standards for article formatting.
During the seminar, participants discussed in detail issues related to improving the quality of scientific content in the Kazakh language, promoting national values, and developing an open educational environment. The participants expressed their intention to effectively apply the acquired knowledge in practice and actively contribute to enriching and improving the quality of Kazakh-language Wikipedia content.
