Academic Integrity — the Foundation of Professional Responsibility.

On October 2, 2026, a meeting dedicated to academic integrity was held at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Urology and Traumatology of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, with the participation of faculty members and first-, second-, and third-year residents.
The Head of the Department, G.E. Kaldygozova, introduced the participants to the key provisions of the SKMA Academic Integrity Code and emphasized the importance of maintaining honesty and responsibility in educational, clinical, and research activities.
During the meeting, participants discussed the prevention of plagiarism, proper citation of sources, accurate completion of clinical documentation, maintaining the confidentiality of patient information, and the use of artificial intelligence in accordance with established requirements.
Maintaining academic integrity is a shared responsibility of every faculty member and resident. Honest education and responsible practice build trust in future physicians!
