Academic Mobility at the Bukhara State Medical Institute

From April 16 to April 20, 2026, in accordance with the Academic Mobility Plan of the teaching staff of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy for the 2025–2026 academic year, and with the aim of exchanging pedagogical experience, implementing new educational technologies, strengthening international cooperation, and conducting joint scientific research, the Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, MD, Professor Gulzhan Narkenovna Abuova, and Acting Associate Professor, PhD Farida Abdullayevna Berdaliyeva carried out an academic mobility visit at the Department of Epidemiology, Dermatovenereology and Pediatric Dermatovenereology of the Abu Ali ibn Sina Bukhara State Medical Institute, as well as at the Bukhara branch of the Republican Specialized Center for Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. During this period, a series of lectures, seminars, discussions, and case-based testing sessions on relevant topics were conducted for 5th-year students of the General Medicine and Pediatrics faculties, as well as for clinical residents. In addition, multidisciplinary consultations were held for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. Prof. G.N. Abuova and PhD F.A. Berdaliyeva also delivered oral presentations at the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “International Cooperation in Infectious Diseases: Scientific Advances, Innovations in Clinical Practice and Prevention.”
As a result of the academic mobility program, the foundation for a joint postgraduate educational program was established, and joint scientific publications were planned. In recognition of her contribution to strengthening international cooperation, Prof. G.N. Abuova was awarded the title of “Honorary Professor of the Bukhara State Medical Institute.”
