
As part of the academic mobility program, medical residents from I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy completed the "Droplet Infections" training cycle at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy from June 24 to June 27, 2026.
The following medical residents participated in the academic mobility program:
• Kubatbek Bakytbekovich Kutmanov;
• Daniyar Bakhtiyarovich Ilakhunov;
• Chyngyzkhan Ulanovich Kubataliev;
• Uulkan Pusurmankulovna Sattarova.
During the academic mobility program, the residents actively participated in the educational activities of the Department of Infectious Diseases, became familiar with modern approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases, attended the department's clinical training sites, took part in clinical case discussions, and exchanged professional experience with faculty members and residents of the Academy. In addition, during their visit the participants actively attended the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Infectious Diseases of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia", held in Shymkent. The conference provided an opportunity to learn about the latest scientific achievements in infectology, epidemiology, and related medical disciplines, participate in scientific discussions, and exchange experience with leading researchers and practicing physicians from Kazakhstan and abroad.
The implementation of academic mobility programs contributes to the professional development of medical residents, strengthens international cooperation, expands academic partnerships, and promotes the exchange of best practices between I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy and South Kazakhstan Medical Academy.
