Academic Mobility of Residents from Semey Medical University

As part of the academic mobility program, second-year residents specializing in Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases from Semey Medical University, Zhansaya Bakytkazykzy Altyngazina and Yerkezhan Serikkalikyzy Satymbai, completed training in the discipline "Infectious Hepatology" at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy from June 22 to June 30, 2026.
During their academic mobility, the residents participated in the educational activities of the Department of Infectious Diseases, gained practical knowledge of modern approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with infectious diseases, and exchanged professional experience with faculty members and fellow residents.
In addition, the residents actively participated in the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Infectious Diseases of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia", held in Shymkent. The conference provided an opportunity to learn about the latest scientific advances in infectology, epidemiology, and related medical disciplines, as well as to engage in scientific discussions and exchange experience with leading experts.
Academic mobility contributes to improving the professional competencies of future infectious disease specialists, expanding scientific cooperation, and strengthening collaboration among medical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
