An Educational Session on “Anti-Corruption Policy within the Framework of the Code of Academic Integrity”

An educational session on the topic “Anti-Corruption Policy within the Framework of the Code of Academic Integrity” was held at the Department of Pediatrics-1 of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy with the participation of international students from the group ВМ-МШБ-05-24.
The event was organized and conducted by B.S. Baltabayeva, Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Pediatrics-1.
The main objective of the session was to promote the principles of academic integrity among students, prevent corruption, foster values of fairness, honesty and responsibility, and explain the importance of transparency and accountability in the educational process.
During the session, the main provisions of the Code of Academic Integrity, the importance of anti-corruption policy, and issues of fairness and responsibility in the academic environment were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the importance of соблюдение academic integrity principles, preventing plagiarism, maintaining fairness during examinations and knowledge assessment, and developing zero tolerance towards any forms of corruption.
At the end of the session, students shared their opinions and emphasized that adherence to the principles of academic integrity is an essential component of every student's civic and professional responsibility.
The educational session contributed to improving students' legal awareness, fostering a culture of academic integrity, and strengthening their anti-corruption attitudes.
