An explanatory meeting on compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held with international students at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy

On September 22, 2026, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy held an awareness-raising session for first- to fifth-year international students from countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States on the rules of stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan and compliance with legal requirements.

The purpose of the event was to provide international students with comprehensive information about the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, migration requirements, public order and safety regulations, enhance their legal awareness, and prevent potential violations of the law.

The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs and Social Issues, Salim Yerbol Kaltursynuly, who introduced the specialists responsible for conducting the awareness-raising activities with the students.

The specially invited guests included:

🔹 Baurzhan Omirbekov, Colonel of Police and Deputy Head of the Al-Farabi District Police Department of the Police Department of Shymkent;

🔹 Yernar Koshanov, Lieutenant Colonel of Police and Head of the Migration Service Department of the Al-Farabi District Police Department of the Police Department of Shymkent;

🔹 Nurzhigit Ermentai, Prosecutor of the Al-Farabi District Prosecutor’s Office.

During the meeting, the students received important information on legal stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan, compliance with migration regulations, proper conduct in public places, prevention of offences, and legal responsibility.

Such meetings contribute to developing the legal awareness and culture of international students, ensuring their safe and comfortable stay in Kazakhstan, and encouraging them to consciously comply with the requirements of the law.
