
A significant meeting with representatives of emergency services and law enforcement agencies was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy.
The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs, Salim Yerbol Kaltursynuly, who introduced the invited guests.
The meeting was attended by Oryntai Abilai Nurgisauly, Senior Engineer of the State Fire Control Department of the Shymkent Department of Emergency Situations and Senior Lieutenant of Civil Protection; Shertai Ayan, Senior Engineer of the Emergency Response Department and Captain of Civil Protection; as well as Sabitbek Makulbek, Senior Inspector of the Al-Farabi District Police Department of the Shymkent Police Department, Major of Police.

During the meeting, students were provided with comprehensive information on the prevention of emergency situations and the importance of following safety rules. Particular attention was given to water safety due to the upcoming summer season. Specialists demonstrated in practice how to provide first aid to a drowning person and explained the importance of proper actions. It was also noted that the swimming season begins on June 1, and swimming is allowed only in designated areas while strictly observing safety regulations.
Fire safety issues were also widely covered during the event. Experts explained key rules for preventing fires in everyday life, including the proper use of electrical appliances and the importance of not leaving open flames unattended. Special emphasis was placed on safety during outdoor recreation. In particular, when going on a picnic, it is essential to carry water, maintain a distance of at least 4–5 meters from grass and trees when making a fire, and ensure the fire is completely extinguished.
In addition, attention was given to compliance with migration laws. The police representative emphasized that соблюдение миграционного законодательства Республики Казахстан is the responsibility of every citizen.
