An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the tuberculosis control service was held

On October 16–17, 2025, the Phthisiopulmonology Center of Turkestan Region, in collaboration with the Department of Phthisiopulmonology and Radiology of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA), held a scientific-practical conference with international participation dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the anti-tuberculosis service in Turkestan Region. The event took place at the Congress Hall in Turkestan city.
The following speakers presented at the conference:
1. Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Phthisiopulmonology and Radiology of SKMA, Lazzat Tatibekovna Kassaeva
Topic: “Tuberculosis in a patient after kidney transplantation: drug interactions, side effects, and successful therapy under immunosuppression”
2. Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department, Aigul Sergazina
Topic: “Modern therapeutic approaches to congenital tuberculosis: experience and successful outcome”
3. Assistant of the Department, Saltanat Zhambulovna Usivalieva
Topic: “Radiological diagnostics of tuberculous spondylitis”
4. Assistant of the Department, Khasiat Khalibekovna Ismailova
Topic: “Congenital tuberculosis. A clinical case”
5. Assistant of the Department, Elena Vladimirovna Zavarnitsina
Topic: “Safety profile assessment of anti-tuberculosis drugs based on spontaneous reports of adverse reactions in the internal pharmacovigilance system”
Additionally, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department Lazzat Tatibekovna Kassaeva was awarded the "Excellence in Healthcare" medal.
Assistant Alua Agitaevna Seitova was awarded a commemorative medal dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the anti-tuberculosis service.
The conference was held in two sections:
• Section 1: "Modern issues of tuberculosis diagnosis, treatment, and implementation of innovative technologies in phthisiology"
