December 9 is International Anti–Corruption Day, which annually celebrates the importance of countering this destructive phenomenon for the world community. It has become a symbol of commitment to honesty, openness and strengthening the principles of the rule of law in all spheres of public life. In this regard, senior teachers of the Department of "History of Kazakhstan and Socio-social Disciplines" M.M.Malikov and L. T. Makhatova with students of the 1st year Medical School conducted a brain-ring on the topic "Harm to corruption in society", dedicated to the International Day against Corruption. The purpose of the brain ring is: to form a civic position of students in the fight against corruption, to change the attitude of society towards this problem, as well as to transfer knowledge and information in an interesting and creative way. During the competition, students developed several important skills and deepened their knowledge on corruption.

The students studied various international anti-corruption practices and strategies and used this information to answer brain-ring questions. This stimulated their active participation in public life and contribution to the fight against corruption. Thus, brain-ring is not only a way for students to gain knowledge and information, but also a teaching method that allows them to increase their level of personal and social responsibility, express their thoughts freely and reasonably.
