In April–May 2026, the Head and assistants of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing — Aizat Ashimkhanovna Seidakhmetova, Bekzat Mynbayuly Erimbet, Zhanyl Baurzhanovna Beknazarova, Zhanat Sarsenovna Sultanova, and Umida Abdyvalievna Khodzhakulova — on behalf of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, conducted career guidance and professional outreach activities in several educational institutions under the Department of Education of Shymkent city.
In particular, special meetings were organized with students of grades 9–11 at Secondary School No. 56 named after S. Kobeyev, Secondary School No. 29 named after Aliya Moldagulova, Secondary School No. 34 named after Gagarin, and School-Gymnasium No. 50 named after Akhmet Baitursynov. During these meetings, students were provided with comprehensive information about the importance and future prospects of the medical field.
The participants were introduced to the educational programs, specialties, admission requirements, academic opportunities, student life, and future career development pathways offered by the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. Particular emphasis was placed on the responsibility of medical professions, their role in saving human lives, and their significance to society.
The students received detailed information about the academy’s educational process, practical training opportunities, international partnerships, and the conditions created for students. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed answers. Students interested in becoming future doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals showed particular enthusiasm and active participation.
Such career guidance meetings help graduating students make informed decisions regarding their future professions and contribute to increasing young people’s interest in the field of medicine. The staff of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing expresses sincere gratitude to the school principals and teachers for their support in organizing these professional outreach activities
