
On October 29, 2025, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy held another meeting dedicated to advancing the institution’s digital transformation within the framework of the “AI – SANA” program.
The main topic of the meeting was “Digital Maturity: Key Approaches and Components.” The purpose of the event was to analyze the effectiveness of ongoing digital initiatives, assess their impact on the educational process, and outline future steps based on student community feedback.
The meeting was attended by the Academy’s Digital Officer, Aibek Nurpeisov, along with representatives of student self-governance:

• Beisenbek D. – Student Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy,
• Beken D. – Deputy Head of the Dormitory Council,
• Zhanaliyeva Sh. – Chair of the “Birlesu Dostyk” organization,
• Usen M. – Chair of the “QazMed” organization,
• Kamardin A. – Chair of the “Shabyt” Art Organization,
• Akhmetkhan G. – Chair of the “League of Volunteers” organization.
Mr. Nurpeisov presented the third-quarter results of the “AI – SANA” program and outlined the step-by-step approach to implementing digital transformation within the Academy. He emphasized the importance of a digital ecosystem in the institution’s development strategy and highlighted the relevance and potential of integrating artificial intelligence into the educational process.
During the meeting, participants discussed the role of AI in medicine, modern methods of incorporating AI technologies into education and medical practice, and the development of students’ digital competencies.
Students actively participated in the discussion, shared their opinions, and proposed new ideas aimed at enhancing the Academy’s digital maturity. Such open dialogue platforms help foster student initiative and strengthen the Academy’s innovative development path.
