Dr. Thomas Notegger Delivered a Lecture to the Academy’s Students

Dr. Thomas Notegger, Head of Industrial Operations at Polpharma Group, PhD in Chemistry, and MBA, visited South Kazakhstan Medical Academy on a business trip. The visit was supported by JSC “Khimpharm” (Santo), a pharmaceutical company that is both a partner and employer of the Academy.
Dr. Notegger has extensive experience in technical operations (API and FDF), product development, portfolio management, and quality management. He has successfully collaborated with commercial divisions across Europe, the United States, Latin America, and Asia, developing and effectively implementing customer-oriented strategies.
As part of his visit, Dr. Notegger delivered a lecture on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.” The lecture was attended by students of the “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” educational program, master’s and doctoral students of the “Pharmacy” program, as well as the faculty members of SKMA.
During the lecture, modern applications of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical manufacturing were discussed, including process optimization, quality improvement, and the implementation of innovative solutions.
